Mirabelle makes a splash at the National Stationery show

Who knew it took so much hard work and support to make a dream come true. Over the next few weeks I will be sharing with you guys our journey to the National Stationery show in NYC to launch our Mirabelle card line last week. It has been a long journey to make my dream of people embracing Miss Mirabelle as a symbol of believing in yourself and following your dreams and desires…..the talk shows always say if you do what you love than the rest will follow. Well this has been almost 5 years now of trying out that theory. Thank you for all the support we have had from a lot of amazing people I have never actually met but believe too that one small dog can make a difference in the world.

this is our first day of setting up our booth on a budget..this is the day before the show started. I will be telling you more about all the other great people we met and some amazing other artists working on making their dreams come true. From the Doctor who now believes in bunnies and doing something she loves to the really great guy from LV who makes tattoo’s an art form. stayed tuned for more

Ah the smell of grease paint and saw dust. Who doesn’t love peanuts in the shell and cotton candy stuck to your shoe. Well Miss Mirabelle sure does and as always in pursuit of her adventurous life she decided to run away and join the circus. I can hear the music now…I am sure she will be back home soon

Mirabelle loves her new dining room chairs. In pursuit of finding great things in our new hometown of Baltimore we came across HOME ANTHOLOGY. It is an amazing store that specializes in Deco, Vintage, Mid-Century Modern and Retro furniture and home accessories. They were as nice as could be. We found 6 Paul McCobb dining room chairs at an amazing price and not only that, one of the owners helped us figure out how to pack them all in our Mirabelle sized car. So if you are looking for a place with great pieces at affordable prices you should check them out. HOME Anthology

Hey Miss Mirabelle in her quest to learn about her city headed out to see Fluid Movement. They are an amazing group that does Water Ballet in Baltimore. They are not your grandma’s water ballet..they do it all with a bit of a twisted twist. It was so much fun it made even being a wet dog fun. water ballet

We are so excited. A while ago Lisa Scotti who is one of the Charm City Roller girls came into Detail Gallery and fell in love with Mirabelle and vise versa. Well we love a fun roller match and so does Miss Mirabelle. So in honor of the girls Mirabelle donned her own skates and cheered them on. Stop out to see one of their matches and YEAH Roller Girls. Oh by the way…Ms. Scotti christened Miss Mirabelle with her own roller girl name….Bella D’ Brawl….thanks Roller girl!charm city roller girls

No , as much as we would like to think Mirabelle has developed more super powers than she already has. This is actually an outing at Fort McHenry in Baltimore. Mirabelle and her cousins and sister like to be as patriotic as the next dog. A grand time was had by all in Baltimore. Thanks cousins for coming and visiting us in our new city of Baltimore.

Mirabelle visits the American Visionary Art Museum

Hey everyone, Miss Mirabelle has continued to get to know her new hometown and stopped off at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. The Visionary has an amazing collection of work by Outsider artists. We discovered one of our great past artists from Detail Gallery in the current show at the Visionary. Jim Bloom from Philadelphia who was a staple artist for many years at Detail Gallery. Keep tuned as Mirabelle continues to explore her great new city and stop by the Visionary if you are in town. There is a great shop called Sideshow in the Museum that carries amazing and unique gifts there and a fun place to eat in the Museum too.

Mirabelle checks out Baltimore

Hey everyone. Mirabelle decided to have an outing this week to check out her new home sights. It was a beautiful sunny day in Baltimore even though a bit hot we went with our friend Sal and Mirabelle’s sister Phoebe to check out the sights. We started in the Federal Hill area. A new place to us and first stopped off to see one of Mirabelle’s potential new vendors for Mirabelle products. We stopped off at DoggieStyle, a great pet boutique and doggie salon and guess who Mirabelle ran into! One of her long lost cousins. This little guy is one of the mascots of DoggieStyle. His name is Charlie and he is a deaf boston. He is as cute as can be greets people when they come in to see the great products at the store. Hopefully our new Baltimore fans will be able to purchase items there soon. We will keep you posted. We will add more posts each week of Mirabelle’s new adventures in Baltimore.DoggieStyle

Power of the Dog

POWER OF THE DOG. Saturday morning in Baltimore. We went on our usual morning walk to beautiful Union Square Park. Mirabelle and her sister Phoebe love the walk and it is usually pretty peaceful. This morning there was quite an altercation going on between a couple…with many loud F**K’s. Not the usual peaceful day an…d we tried to ignore it as we drew closer. Well all I can say….power of the dog. The young Lady spotted the girls and all the noise stopped and was replaced as she approached us…ARE THOSE YOUR BABIES in the same register as the other words. As she approached as usual Mirabelle went over to say hi as she is known to do by her fans. The lady goes on to say how beautiful they are and relates the sad story of her losing her dog last year and how much she is missed. It is always amazing to me how that simple act of seeing a dog in a park can have the power to diffuse a situation. She went back to her bench and the rest of our walk was quiet and peaceful. All I can say is POWER TO THE DOG

Mirabelle loves her neighbors

We just wanted to tell you about some wonderful people in Mirabelle’s neighborhood. This great couple, Emily and Dave foster dogs to help rehabilitate them and also find homes for them. They also do a lot of great work with two pet organizations. One is called Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in DC and Baltimore Barcs Animal Rescue. Two great organizations trying to help find homes for animals not as lucky as our Miss Mirabelle. I know they are in need of a lot of help at both places so if you can check out their websites and help out in anyway that you can or even consider fostering a dog in your home wouldn’t then the world be even a better place.
